A Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (www.abplsurg.org) has had a minimum 2 years of independent plastic surgery practice following 6 years of surgical training after completion of four (4) years of medical school. This Plastic Surgery Specialist is fully trained in both the removal and reconstruction of skin lesions throughout the body.

Although several options for treatment are available (shave/curettage/excision), the proper treatment must include the submission of a tissue specimen to a Board Certified Dermatopathologist so that no cancerous tissue is left behind following treatment.

Dr. Prevel is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery and was awarded the Certificate of Added Qualifications in Hand Surgery by the American Board of Surgery. He has been on the faculty of 5 Colleges of Medicine (Medical College of Wisconsin, Indiana University, University of Kentucky, University of South Florida and University of Central Florida). He has personally removed/reconstructed skin lesion sites as well as taught residents/medical students these techniques. In addition, he uses his Cosmetic Plastic Surgery training and experience to improve the appearance of the treatment site.
